RIO Education is a native Salesforce Student Information System (SIS, SMS). It does not perform any callouts to external/3rd party services, hence, it does not utilize any keys/certificates. This also means that we do not store or manage any customer-related keys/certificates. 

However, if you are using any external/3rd party services or apps, the keys/certificates are managed within your own Salesforce instance.

One of the commonly used 3rd party apps that require a certificate is S-Docs (it is a template generation app); the certificate is only required if the app has to run as a specific user.
