- Navigate to Digital Experience >> Settings, mark "Enable ExperienceBundle Metadata API" as true, and then click Save.
Step 3: Install RIO Education and deploy metadata
Please install RIO Education using the RIO Education installer. A detailed description of each product and plan in the installer can be found in this this article.
If you are installing RIO Education for the first time in an instance, follow the steps below.
If you are upgrading an existing RIO Education package to a new version, follow the steps in Step 3.1: Upgrading RIO Education.
- Click on the RIO Education product.
- Click "Install RIO Education - View Details".
- Log in to your Salesforce instance.
- Run the Pre-Install Validation.
- Select all optional metadata steps (unless you already have a prior version of RIO Education installed in this instance, in which case the optional metadata should not be deployed).
- Click Install.
- If you plan on using the RIO Education Community, you will also need to install the "Org-Wide Default Sharing" and "Community Security Setup" plans (be sure to carefully read the instructions for "Community Security Setup" to ensure you deploy the right package(s)). Step 3.1: Upgrading RIO Education
If you already have a prior version of RIO Education, you can follow the same steps above to upgrade your package to the latest version, with the following changes.
You should not select any optional metadata steps in the Install plan, and you also should not install the "Org-Wide Default Sharing" and "Community Security Setup" plans.
Instead, the metadata you need to deploy can be found under the "RIO Education - Upgrades" product. Please see this article for information about which plans you will need to install.
