RIO Challenge
RIO Challenge is a series of practical exercises that will help a user understand the features, functionality, and implementation best practice for the RIO Education SIS.
Challenge type
In conjunction with our RIO Education Certification path, RIO Challenge can be categorized into three types: Functional, Technical, and Advanced.
The Challenge type is noted in brackets at the front of the Challenge title.
Note: Although the purpose of Functional and Technical Challenges are different, together they represent 'the basics' and should be considered mandatory for anyone seeking a foundational understanding of RIO Education - this includes anyone wanting to acquire RIO Education Certification.

Getting started
If you wish to attempt RIO Challenge, you may request a sandbox via our support email: support@wdcigroup.net .
Note
- RIO Challenge is currently only available to WDCi partners and customers.
For easier verification, kindly use your company / institution email address.
- Your RIO Challenge sandbox will be deleted after 30 days from generation date. Kindly complete all challenges within that time to avoid your data from being deleted.
If 30 days have lapsed and you wish to attempt RIO Challenge, kindly reach out to us to have your sandbox refreshed for you.
- Your RIO Challenge sandbox will be refreshed from time-to-time, when new challenges are added.
Do not create or leave any important data in your RIO Challenge sandbox.
- Time zone of the challenger is set to (GMT+10) Sydney NSW, Australia Time.
Please do not change the time zone of the user.
When your RIO Challenge sandbox has been generated, you will receive an email from Salesforce.com, where you can then click on the 'Verify Account' button and reset your RIO Challenge password.
Next, enter the sandbox and you will find a tab 'RIO Challenge V2' at the bottom left of the page.
This will pop up to display the list of RIO Challenges available. You can also filter the challenges based on the Functional or Technical role.
There will be three buttons for each challenge:
| Instructions | This button contains the link to an article outlining the steps to complete this challenge, as well as the learning outcome/goals and additional reading material. |
| Initiate Challenge | Click this to generate the script for this challenge. Once the generation is completed, you may proceed with the challenge. |
| Complete Challenge | Click this once you have completed the challenge. |
