RIO Reporting (US) - National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)

This guide outlines the steps required for an end user to configure and generate a NSC report.
National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) is a report that is required by the US government. This report contains only 1 file with 3 sections:
- Header.
- Details.
- Trailer.
Prerequisites
- The following managed packages must be installed in the Salesforce org:
- EDA.
- RIO Education.

RIO Reporting (US) - NSC.
- The permission set "REDU - NSC Reporting" is assigned to the running user.
Procedures
- From the Apps menu, select the ‘RIO Reporting Engine’ application.
- Select the 'Reporting Exports' tab and choose the NSC reporting record.
- Review each of the fields on the record and update any fields as required.
Alternatively, if a new report is required, simply click the ‘Clone’ button, modify the fields accordingly, and then click the ‘Save’ button.- Make sure the status is saved as 'Draft'.
- Make sure the status is saved as 'Draft'.
- Invoke the report generation by updating the status to 'Queue' and then clicking the ‘Save’ button.
- Once the report has been generated, the status field will be updated to ‘Completed’, and the NSC report file(s) will be available from the ‘Notes & Attachments’ section.
Field Mapping
Only 1 file is required for the NSC report. Your data file should contain:
- One header record (1 row).
- Individual student detail records (multiple rows).
- One trailer record (1 row).
File Name = School Code and Branch Code with a three-letter file extension (12345600.CLR).
All dates must be valid and formatted as YYYYMMDD (full year, month, day). Refer to the official website here for details.
