Overview of the Change

The ATO will transition all USI integration endpoints to TLS 1.3 by 31 January 2026. TLS 1.3 provides stronger encryption, faster handshake performance, and reduced latency compared to earlier versions.

Impact on RIO Education

Testing conducted in the USI test environment with TLS 1.3 found no issues. Everything is functioning as expected; however, continued monitoring is recommended as the transition date approaches.
