It is possible to set the number of Max Credits per Term and restrict students from enrolling into courses that would lead them to exceed the defined Max Credits in a given term.

The selected term's Max Credits as displayed on the My Pathway (Aura) component

The Max Credits per Term can be set at the Program Pathway level. This value is then inherited by the PE Pathway records created when a student is enrolled to the Program Pathway. The value is populated upon creation of the record and can be modified later. Existing PE Pathway records will not be updated when the Program Pathway: Max Credits per Term field is updated; You will need to manually update the Max Credits field on the PE Pathway record.

Alternatively, if you would like to keep the initial Max Credits value but still override it, you can populate the Faculty Approved Max Credits field which will be used as the limit instead (only if it is greater than Max Credits).
