How to change managed package object names, field labels, and help texts?

Resolution

To rename objects from managed package, we can do it through Salesforce "Rename Tabs and Labels" feature.

To rename fields from managed package, we can do it by using the "Translation Workbench > Override" feature.

To rename Help Text from managed packages, we can just overwrite the existing Help Text content. There is no restriction by Salesforce on this.

Most of the Custom Text (Error/Warning) messages in RIO are configurable. For example, there is a Help Text behind the '?' button in the enrollment wizard that pops up a whole bunch of instructions. The text of those instructions is held in Custom Labels.

These labels can be edited in English if an institution needs to do so, and can also be translated to other Languages.

Note that upgrading a package would not overwrite the existing translated custom label even though it is in English. For example, if you made a change to a label in a later release/version, this would not override the "custom" text that was set in a previous version.
