This module revolves around setting up Sessions (e.g. lectures and tutorials) and their details such as start/end time, how many months will they last, and how frequent they recur.
Here are the relevant reading materials or guides (generic example):
What will be evaluated
(You are recommended to create these in your instance using the Session Scheduler, instead of using the Data Loader.)
Previously, you would have already created Course Offerings for the upcoming Term.
Now, a Session must be created for each of the Course Offerings for the upcoming Term.
1 Session for 1 Course Offering.
- The Session Time's 'Start Date' must be either before, or on the same date, as your current date now.
- The Sessions must be published in order for students to enroll.
-
Although the use case mentions a minimum attendance %, we will not be using it here, since we will not be marking student's attendances.
Therefore, it is not required to check the 'Mandatory Attendance' checkbox, for this exercise.
- Each Session will have a Session Time for each type of class held for that same Course Offering.
After creating the Session and Session Time, ensure that you assign a facility and faculty to the Session.
Note:
Depending on your time zone, you will notice that the Sessions you have created, will appear on different timeslots in the Session Scheduler.
This is due to the different time zones between the campus and your User.
You are not required to fix the time zones, but if you would like to know how, you can check this article here.
