RIO Challenge v4 - C03.01 - Requirement Checklist Setup

Applicants who wish to enroll into RIO University must complete certain requirements before they can be admitted.

Administrators can configure Study Requirement Sets so that requirements appear only when specific conditions are met, such as when an application has been submitted.

Follow this exercise to see how to configure a Study Requirement Set, add new requirements, and test how they appear for a new application.

Steps to complete the challenge

RIO University requires applicants to upload a set of documents, and have the administrators validate that they are up to standards, before the applicants are offered a seat.
 

As the admissions officer, you will configure the Study Requirement Set so that requirements only appear when an application has been Submitted. You will then add new requirements for ID/Passport submission and validation, and finally test this setup by creating a new application.

 

1. Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page. Click on 'Initiate Challenge' to generate the data required for this challenge.

2. From the App Launcher at the top left of the page, search for ‘Study Requirement Sets’.
   
   
   Select the list view ‘C03.01 Requirement Checklist Setup’. Click to open the record created for this challenge.

3. Scroll down to the ‘Criteria’ field.
   Notice that the criteria is currently incomplete, and the requirement checklists would be created, even if the Individual Program Application is still in ‘Draft’ status.

We should update the Criteria so that only Individual Program Application that are submitted will request for the required documents from the applicants.
Please update the Criteria field as shown below:

4. Aside from the applicant's latest transcript, the university would like applicants to upload their ID or passport for identity verification purposes.
   Once submitted, the administrator will then need to validate the document to confirm its authenticity.
   
   Thus, 2 new Study Requirements should be created to reflect this.

5. Now that the requirements are set, let's see them in action.
   
   Fred Smith is a new applicant. As the admin, you are required to create an Individual Program Application on his behalf, completed with the requirement checklist.
   
   From the App Launcher at the top left of the page, search for ‘Individual Program Applications’.

6. Navigate to the “Requirement Checklist” tab.
   Notice that the Checklist is empty. This is because the Application Status is still in ‘Draft’ status, and have yet to meet the criteria we set earlier.
   
   Update the Application to ‘Submitted’.
   
   The requirements should be generated now.
   
    
7. Congratulations, you have completed the challenge! Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page, and click on 'Complete Challenge'.
