RIO Challenge v4 - C07.13 - Term Grade Release

When an academic term concludes and the grades are finalized, students are still unable to view their results until the admin officially releases the grades through the Term Grade Release process.

In RIO Education, the Term Grade Release component allows administrators to mass release grades for all students once grading is complete. This ensures that only finalized results are made visible to students, maintaining academic integrity and consistency.

In this challenge, you will use the Term Grade Release component to mass release grades for students enrolled in the AC104 course.

Steps to complete the challenge

Fred Smith and John Doe have both completed their AC104 course for the current term at Sydney Campus. Their lecturer has already submitted both Mid-term and Final grades. However, the results are not yet visible to students because the grades have not been released. 

As the admin, your task is to mass-release the grades using the Term Grade Release component.

1. Click on the 'RIO Challenge' tab at the bottom left of the page. Click on 'Initiate Challenge' to generate the data required for this challenge.
   
    
    
2. Go to the 'Contacts' tab, and select the list view 'C07.13 - Term Grade Release'.
   
   Select Fred Smith's record.
   
    
    
3. Navigate to the ‘Enrollments’ tab and click into the Individual Enrollment.
   
    
    
4. Observe the Enrollment Status and Completion Info tab.
   Notice that the student is still enrolled in the course, and their grades have not been released, even if they have been graded.
    
5. From the App Launcher at the top left of the page, search for ‘Study Term’.
   
   
   Select the list view ‘C07.13 - Term Grade Release’, and select ‘C07.12 - Current Term’.
   
   
    
6. Navigate to the ‘Term Grade Release’ tab.
   
   
   This is where the Term Grade Release wizard is located.
   
   The Term Grade Release wizard is used to mass release grades to students in a study term.
   
    
7. Fill in the information as below:

Only when the Grade Release Status is set to ‘Released’ can the students see their grades.

8. Navigate back to Fred Smith's Individual Enrollment record. Observe the Enrollment Status and Completion Info again.
   
    
9. Go to the 'Contacts' tab, and select the list view 'C07.13 - Term Grade Release'.
   Select John Doe's record.
   
    
10. Navigate to the ‘Enrollments’ tab and click into the Individual Enrollment.
    
    Then, observe the Enrollment Status. Notice that the status show ‘Completed Fail - Fail’ since John Doe failed the course.
    
     
11. Congratulations, you have completed the challenge! Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page, and click on 'Complete Challenge'.
