RIO Education follows a standard admission/application process. Below is a diagram outlining the high-level flow of how the admission/application is represented in the data model.

1.  The process begins with the creation of a Contact and Program Application. The Contact will be designated as the "Applicant" in the “Contact Type” picklist field.
2.  Once the applicant is accepted/ matriculated, the Contact will transition from "Applicant" to "Student," and a Program Enrollment will be created corresponding to the Contact and Program Application.
   • NOTE: If the applicant is rejected, the Contact stays as “Applicant”. 
3. When the student completes/ graduates from their studies, the Contact will be designated as “alumni”.
   • NOTE: If the student fails to complete/ graduate from their studies, the alumni status will not be updated.
