Hide results from students until the grades are ready/finalized
Publish the grades only when ready to be viewed by students
Description
Faculty members would need to make amendments to a student's grades. They need to release the grades first, in order for the completion engine to calculate them.
However, releasing the grades will automatically enable the students to view them. The faculty members do not want students to see the grades yet, as they are not finalized.
How to hide the grades from students before they are ready to be published?
In other words, how to release the grades first, but let students see them only when they are ready to be published?
Resolution
Checking the 'Release Grades' in Course Connection, for example, will make the grades visible to students. This is due to the 'Enrollment Status' in Course Connection turning to 'Completed', when releasing grades. Since it is now completed, students will be able to view them.
You can prevent this by changing the "Auto Complete on Release Grades" RIO Education settings for releasing grades.
