RIO Challenge v4 - C04.06 - Credit Transfer (Manual Assignment)

Therefore, credit transfer is manually assigned using Manual Assignment Agreement Unit Equivalents.

Steps to complete the challenge
Fred Smith has previously completed ‘Introduction to German’ unit at an External University, and is now studying at RIO University.
Fred would like to have the credits from this external course to be transferred to an equivalent course at RIO University.
However, there is no equivalent German Course in RIO University to transfer the credits to.
So instead of a 1-to-1 credit transfer between courses, the credits will be transferred to one of the program groups instead.
For example, there is an elective group that need 20 credits for the completion.
By transferring the credits (e.g. 2 credits) from the external course to this group, Fred Smith will only need to complete the 18 credits left.

As an Enrollment officer, let's create a credit transfer application on Fred Smith's behalf, and manually assign which Individual Study Plan Group should receive the credits from the external course.
- Click on the ‘RIO Challenge v4’ tab at the bottom left of the page. Click on ‘Initiate Challenge’ to generate the data required for this challenge.

- Go to the ‘Accounts’ tab, and select the list view ‘C04.06 - Credit Transfer MA’ to find the relevant record created for this challenge.

- We have approved the credit from an external course to be contributed to a group instead of an equivalent Study Unit.
That group will now have 2 credits earned from that external course.
Let's take a look.
From Fred Smith's Contact record, navigate to the “Enrollments” tab, and open the Individual Program Enrollment record.
Then, from the Individual Program Enrollment record, navigate to the “Program Completion” tab.
Notice that the Individual Plan Structure Group: ‘C04.06 - Global Exploration’ has received 2 credits earned, which were transferred from the external course in step 7 and 8.
What this means is that even if your university has no equivalent Study Unit for a 1-to-1 credit transfer, you can choose to transfer the external credits to a group instead.
The student now has 2 less credits to take at your university.
- Congratulations, you have completed the challenge! Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page, and click on 'Complete Challenge'.
