Used to represent Campuses

Overview
A Location is a particular type of Account that is used to represent a Campus in RIO Education.
By creating Facility records, you are then able to create buildings and rooms for this campus where classes can be held, which can be used in the schedulers to plan classes.
You can add Location Holidays to document that this location observes particular holidays, and this will be taken into account automatically when scheduling classes.
Course Offerings should specify the campus they are being held at, allowing you to offer courses not only in certain terms, but also only at certain locations, should your institution manage multiple campuses.
Students are then able to filter by campus while enrolling into courses, making sure they are presented courses local to them. For this purpose, each Program Enrollment stores its default campus where the student spends most of their time.
Important Fields
| Field | Description |
| Parent Account | A lookup field which should point to the Educational Institution record that this campus belongs to |
| Campus | A checkbox to indicate that this location represents a campus. This should always be checked for Location-type accounts. |
| Timezone |
A picklist to identify the timezone of a location. Any date or time fields on related records (Course Offering, Session/Session Time and their Bookings) belonging to this Campus will use this timezone.
You can add new timezones to this list using a TZ identifier, i.e. “Australia/Sydney”, “Europe/London”, or “America/New_York”. For a complete list you can refer here.
If a timezone isn't specified, the same timezone as the running user will be used instead. If your admin team is distributed or in a different timezone to the campus, this may produce unexpected results, so we recommend to always set a timezone. |
