Description

When logging in as a platform user (e.g.: faculty user) and accessing the community via the app launcher, you are prompted to log in using a username/password, or directed to guest home page.

Resolution

  1. Check Login & Registration Settings:
    1. Go to Digital Experience > Workspaces > Administration > Login & Registration.
    2. Ensure that the option "Allow employees to log in directly to an Experience Cloud site" is checked.
  2. Review Platform User Session Settings:
    1. Navigate to the profile of the platform user and go to Session Settings.
    2. Verify that the option "Separate Experience Cloud site and Salesforce login authentication for employees" is unchecked.

These settings should resolve the issue and allow seamless login access to the community.
