Students can be charged deposits for applications related to:

• Program application.
• Housing application.

RIO currently handles automation for deposit fee to be generated as Student Fee for Program Application. When the automation kicks in:

1. Student Fee - Deposit is created (under the student's Program Enrollment record, which is automatically created when the Program Application is approved).
   
   
   
   
2. Fee Line - Deposit is created under that Student Fee.
   
   
   
   
3. When the tuition fee is generated, the Student Fee will deduct the deposit from the total cost of the tuition fee.
   
   
   • Student Fee - Tuition.
     
     
     
     
   • Fee Line - Tuition.
     
     
     
     
   • If there are other Student Fees which are of the Deposit type, RIO will include that as part of the Fee Lines to be deducted
     
     
   • The deduction of deposit only happens once for the first Student Fee (tuition) generated. Subsequent deposits generated will NOT be taken into account.
