Overview

This article covers the options you can choose when grading a Course, either by:

  • Score (e.g. 96), or,
  • Value (e.g. A, B, C).

Use case

An educational institution uses numerical scores (e.g. 96) for its grading convention.

In this case, the faculty user should define it in the Course record, by setting 'Score' for the Grade Type field.

This means that when students enroll to this Course, their resulting Course Connection will be graded in a numerical score by the faculty (e.g. 96).

On the other hand, if an institution prefers to use grade values (e.g. A, B, C) as its convention, this can be achieved by setting 'Value' for the Grade Type field in the Course record.

This means that when students enroll to this Course, their resulting Course Connection will be graded in a letter value by the faculty (e.g. A, B, C).
