Cohort Enrollment
Cohort Enrollment outlines which batch / cohort / class standing of students can enroll to a Course Offering or Session ahead of the actual enrollment open date.
For example, the enrollment open date on a Course Offering could be on the 6th of January 2021.
However, you can create a Cohort Enrollment to override it, and open enrollment for a class standing (i.e. senior students) a few weeks before the actual open date. This allows the senior students more time to enroll and secure available places.
Note: If you wish to set the same enrollment open date for all Course Offerings under a Term, populate the Term lookup field. The enrollment open date will then be applied to all the Course Offerings under that same Term.
| Column | Description |
| Class Standing | The batch or cohort of the students, i.e. Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior. |
| Class Year | The class year for a particular class standing. |
| Term | Lookup to the Term external ID. Populating this field and the enrollment open date/time will set the same date/time for all Course Offerings and Sessions under the same Term. |
| Status Override | Overrides the status on the Course Offering, to open enrollment for the specified class standing. |
| Enrollment Open Date/Time | The enrollment open and close date/time specified for this particular class standing. |
| Enrollment Close Date/Time | |
| Course Offering | Lookup to the Course Offering external ID. Populate this field instead of the Term field, if you wish to create a cohort enrollment specifically for this Course Offering only. |
| Session Enrollment Open Date/Time |
The Session enrollment open and close date/time specified for this particular class standing. |

| Session | Lookup to the Session external ID. Populate this field instead of the Term field, if you wish to create a cohort enrollment specifically for this Session only. |
